The Domino Effect in the Kitchen

I want to look at a facade of a house and hear Amy Winehouse, Beyonce, Mozart and Pink!

I want to go inside a kitchen and see colors splashed all over the kitchen walls. I want mosaics of sand, glass, stone, wood, and tiles layered all over the cupboard doors.

I want to hear music.

I want to envision herbs and spices, banana cream pies, vanilla and chocolate, walnuts and dates, sour cream, oysters, dried mangoes, meringues, New York pizza, tossed greens, double dutch ice cream, durian coffee and roasted chicken.

I want my walls to scream with the fashion sensibilities of Madonna, Victoria Beckham, and Naomi Campbell.

I want to see the sparkle of glass caressing the driftwood. I want to see hope, zest and passion in my reflection every time I whip up anything to my fancy.

I want air to pass through the windows, crisp linens, and silverware that gleam.

I want to create art like dominoes on walls, black and white, jumping up and down. I might just add a slap of red and some hot pink.

I want sparkle and sunshine and rapture and space.

I want to feel alive everytime I am in this room, to sing, to cook, to read, to meditate, to work, to browse, to sit, to eat.

I want beauty. I want attention to details. I want nooks and corners lightened up. I want the heavenly smell of life wafting through for everyone to know that life, is indeed, good.

And that today is a great day to live.
