Our kitchen cabinets are the most used furniture around the house. Simply because it has everything you need as your daily requirement plus it is opened and closed each day more than your fingers can count. Thus, these fine furniture are prone to grime, grease, soot and even fingerprints that you never would want to show off. Although you regularly clean your kitchen cabinets, especially if they are still newly bought, you sometimes may not have the time to do it often. Therefore, all of those unwanted elements in your kitchen cabinet pile up for days or weeks and in turn, becomes part of the material.
To remove those grease, grime, soot and of course, fingerprints, here are a few tips on how to do so. Grease and grime are formed since we do a lot of cooking and baking inside our kitchen. When we need more ingredients or kitchenwares in the middle of our cooking, we don’t exactly mind what is on our hands, go on to that kitchen cabinet, and get what we need. Eventually, grease and dirt from our hands are transferred to our cabinets. To remove these elements, all you need is a household cleaning agent or probably a household solution of mixed vinegar and water or baking soda moisten in water, a sponge to scrub off that grime, clean water and a dry clean cloth after cleaning the cabinets.
You may also want to use similar cleaning materials when removing fingerprints since these are formed out of the remaining grease and grime in your kitchen cabinets for days. However, you may want to use some dish detergent first when cleaning your affected area. Dish detergent are effective in cutting grease hence use it first. Scrub off the dirt and rinse with water. Then apply the vinegar and water solution and washed off with water. Dry off the area with a clean cloth.
Soot are very unappealing especially when found in areas where we store our most used items. To remove these elements, dry dust the cabinets from the loose soot for easier cleaning later. You may also want to use vacuum cleaner. Then, after all the loose soot are gone, you will notice the dried once attached in your cabinet surface. Clean these off with trusted household cleaners mixed with warm waters, continuously repeating until all the dirt are gone. Then rinse with water and let it dry.
If you are cleaning your cabinet in a vertical manner like cleaning your kitchen cabinet doors, you should have an extra cloth or anything suitable to catch the drippings. That way, you do not need to clean up the mess you created out of cleaning.
Knowing how to clean our kitchen cabinets are great help in maintaining their beauty but the best way is to regularly clean these great furniture to save you time in extensive cleaning.
